2020 NCAA Basketball National Championship Odds: Spartans Pegged To Win It All

March Madness with NCAA Basketball’s insanity takes over all People.

School is in session, athletes have committed to their college program so that it’s time has the best odds to cut down the nets at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. According oddsmakers, the Michigan State Spartans who are the likeliest to.
Online sportsbook BetOnline has the Spartans as +650 favorites to win on the 2020 NCAA Championship, that would be their next national championship in college history.
Following the Spartans are the Kentucky Wildcats (+750), Duke Blue Devils (+850), Memphis Tigers (+1000), Kansas Jayhawks (+1000), Virginia Cavaliers (+1100), North Carolina Tar Heels (+1400), Louisville Cardinals (+1600), Florida Gators (+1600) and Villanova Wildcats (+2000) to round out??the top 10 around the oddsboard.
Let us take a way-too-early deep dip on the top contenders and some longshots to win the NCAA Championship:
There are 3 reasons why the Michigan State Spartans would be the early favorite to win against the 2020 NCAA Championship: they return three starters in their squad that went to the Final Four in 2019they have an All-American point protector in Cassius Winston plus a top-three mentor in college hoops in Tom Izzo.
They will be a force in the Big10 because most of their rivals like Michigan, Purdue, Indiana and Wisconsin all took a step back this year with none of those teams nabbing a five-star recruit and missing some seniors that should restrict the experience on the large stage.
On the other hand, the same could possibly be said concerning the Spartans. This is the first time in four decades which they didn’t bring to their own campus in a five-star and lost two seniors.
I am not sold that Michigan State can win their first National Championship since 2001 and in the odds of +650, it would be a waste of cash to bet them until the season starts.
The three teams that are the basketball recruits every year would be Kansas Jayhawks, North Carolina Tar Heels and the Duke Blue Devils. These teams are pipelines for potential NBA players, that must go through the archaic method of playing one year of college basketball to qualify for the NBA Draft.
But this year’s incoming class isn’t as strong as last year and the players that could carry a program may not have gone to the blue-bloods. Duke was able to get the three recruits in 2018 at Cam Reddish, RJ Barrett along with Zion Williamson however they needed to settle with PF/C Vernon Carey and ahead Matthew Hurt to this upcoming season. Duke can’t be relied on to win the title at +850 although they will still keep the Blue Devils commendable in the ACC.
North Carolina got its stage protector that was next in Cole Anthony, that must be a top-five choice from the NBA Draft and replace the loss of PG Coby White. Even the Tar Heels should still be a force since Cam and White Johnson was lost by them and replaced them with yet another recruit and Anthony in Armando Bacot. The Heels’ odds at +1400 create them fascinating and I expect when we get to conference play, those odds to drop .
Kansas Jayhawks might have failed to win at the Big12 for the first time since 2003-04 but they are returning most their roster and obtained a few recruits to stabilize the entire group. The Jayhawks were an road team and dropped seven of their last 10 road games to complete the season. I would not personally bet on them to win the National Championship why bettors might think the Jayhawks are primed to rally, but I could understand.
The two teams that I think have the best chance to win the NCAA Championship while also offering adequate value is that the Memphis Tigers (+1000) and Oregon Ducks (+2500).
Memphis was on an upward swing since Penny Hardway shot over as his recruitment and head coach has nabbed him two sailors in James Wiseman and Precious Achiuwu along with a plethora of recruits to around from their roster. The Tigers had the recruiting class in the nation and that typically puts schools in the best place to go in the tournament.
Oregon also got two five-star recruits in N’Faly Dante and CJ Walker and look poised to dominate the Pac-12 not to be outdone. The Ducks made it into the Sweet Sixteen last March and nearly knocked off the winner. A constant point guard in recruits , incoming transports and Payton Pritchard make me think the Ducks will at least make the Final Four in 2019.
Curious at August 23
