Bernd Leno says Arsenal are capable of scoring against any opponent

Bernd Leno says Arsenal have the quality against almost any competitor this season to score but considers building a good record is more important for the Gunners.
Arsenal have taken seven points from their opening four Premier League matches but also have struggled with the exact identical frailties that have hampered the club in recent seasons.
Leno was guilty after parrying a tame shot from Erik Lamela of letting Christian Eriksen a very simple tap in during Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham.
Arsenal fought back to secure a 2-2 draw at the Emirates in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang along with Alexandre Lacazette although harry Kane added a second from the penalty spot.
“We know about our personality but also concerning the quality,” said Leno. “The three players up high, with [Nicholas] Pepe there now, we’ve got quality.
“They can score the big chances but also score from nothing so the other teams always know and need to be aware that we have a great deal of dangerous players which gives us enormous confidence.
“You can see the match against Liverpool, we had just one or two chances to score if it was 0-0 therefore we could score with our quality at the top three.
“We can score against everyone but I believe the key is the equilibrium with the defence since in the end that is the most significant thing.”
Leno believes he reacted well to his ancient error at the derby, which may have ended in victory for Arsenal had Sokratis Papastathopoulos’ late goal never been ruled out for offside
“I think that the first goal was a small bit unlucky,” he explained.
“I couldn’t catch the ball entirely and then I tried to get up however Eriksen scored, it was unlucky but that is the life span of a goalkeeper.
“For me it was then like the team, I needed to stand up. It is not a major problem just because we conceded a goal, I needed to stay positive and I thought after that I did a very good job.”
Leno considers Sunday’s result proves Unai Emery’s side may get the better of their opponents this time round although tottenham have completed over Arsenal in the past few seasons.
“Today we showed we can play much better than them,” he explained after the game.
“To be truthful in the first half of you watched the caliber of Tottenham again it will a very hard fight before the close of the year and then we’ll see who’ll be better”
